The Charaka Scheme for Health Insurance in Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation) for Brahmin of above 50 Years of age providing them health insurance. The main objective of this scheme is to provide Health Insurance coverage for the elderly poor Brahmin’s, who are not covered under Dr.NTR Vida Seva Scheme or any other Government scheme. Under this scheme, Corporation will provide cash-less services for the poor elderly Brahmin’s (above 50 Years of age), through selected Insurance companies for identified diseases under secondary and tertiary care. This scheme is applicable for the elderly poor Brahmin’s, who are not covered under Dr.NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme covering all 13 districts

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Charaka Scheme for Health Insurance in Andhra Pradesh:

  1. The candidate must belong to Brahmin community
  2. Candidate and his/her parent’s must be permanent residence in Andhra Pradesh
  3. The candidate should be aged above 50 Years
  4. Annual family income of less than Rs. 2.5 lakh
  5. Candidate should not in possession of a White Ration Card
  6. Candidate who is already getting benefits form another scheme for the same purpose are not eligible

Document required for applying Charaka Scheme for Health Insurance in Andhra Pradesh:

  1. Aadhar Card
  2. Caste certificate of issued by competent authority (MRO / Revenue Inspector)
  3. Income Certificate issued by competent authority (MRO / Revenue Inspector)
  4. Proof of Date of Birth
  5. Passport size photograph

Application procedure:

  1. Individuals of aged above 50 years can apply online: andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in
  2. Along with proper documents mentioned below

Selection Procedure:

  1. After application short-listing and finalization of applications shall be done by the State Level Committee
  2. Based on the finalized applications, ABC Ltd will approach Insurance Companies for providing suitable cashless services.
  3. After selecting the Insurance company (service provider), ABC will inform the finalized applicants for uploading the scanned copies of the required documents for every eligible family member
  4. State Level Committee is authorized to make exceptions to the eligibility/selection process and their decision will be final
