Cotton Development Programme under RKVY

Cotton is one of the most important product of Maharashtra’s farmers. To enhance the production of cotton the government of Maharashtra launches many scheme. Farmers by proper guidance can produce an export quality of Cotton. The government of Maharashtra to produce a cotton and to increase production of rate of cotton, development program is implemented in 8 district. In the remaining 12 district this program is implemented shortly. In 2016-17 under this program, only Desi Vanachi Cotton plantation procedure is applicable. Program is to improve the production quality of Cotton and to encourage to take a production of cotton Plants and Cotton Development. This scheme is implemented mainly in following district Nasik, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Ahemadnagar, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Usmanabad, Nanded, Parbhani, Hingoli. Agriculture officer will play key role in the implementation of this scheme as all the selection of beneficiary and to sanction the intake is in his hands. Cotton is sold well in agriculture market which will help to poor farmers live a good life style and educate their children and fulfil their daily needs.

Eligibility and Condition of Cotton Development Program under RKVY:

  1. All the interested farmers are eligible for this Program
  2. The SC And ST farmers have special reservation under this scheme of 16.5% and 8.5% respectively
  3. Women’s will get 30% reservation in all community for this program
  4. The Scheme requires minimum 0.40 hector land to plant a cotton Seeds

  2. Applicant’s 7/12
  3. Applicant’s 8/A
  4. Bank account details
  5. Passport size photos
  6. Caste Certificate if required
  7. Soil Health Certificate

Application Procedure:

  1. The interested farmers can contact to the district agriculture officer to get information and to enrol in this program
  2. The framers can also contact to Grampanchayat of their village
