Digital Dakiya Scheme also known as (Digital Postman) launched by the state government of Madhya Pradesh to encourage cashless transactions. It is first of its kind scheme in the country and started by State Finance Minister Jayant Malliya in Indore on 14 January 2017. Under this scheme, Digital Dakiya or Digital Postman visit door to door for train and teach the households people especially women and elderly people about digital transactions. The scheme implemented at urban as well as rural areas and state government has provided Identity cards to the volunteers engaged in this programme. The main objectives of the scheme are to encourage and create awareness about the cashless transactions amongst people. Digital Dakiya Scheme is promoting Digital India which is an initiative by the government of India. The Digital Dakiya Scheme is promoting the cashless transaction and online payment system. Digital Dakiya is one of best kind of scheme to encourage people for the move towards cashless economy not only in urban areas but also in villages. The digital postman scheme educate people to use cashless transaction modes for their benefits and they don’t need to carry cash anymore
