Distribution of LLIN Bed Net Scheme in Assam

The Distribution of LLIN Bed Net Scheme is launched in 2010-11 by Assam State Government, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Health Department. The initiative taken by Assam government is one of crucial step for protecting BPL or poor families from various diseases so that they would be healthy. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to provide one bed net to poor and BPL families of Assam state and protecting them through this medium. Under this scheme Assam government is decided to provide one bed net to one BPL family. The nodal agency for implementing this scheme is Health Department of Assam state. Beneficiary for this scheme is selected by Block Level / MB/ TC Level Committee according to criteria. The scheme need some eligibility norms to be fulfilled by beneficiary family some eligibility norms are mentioned like e.g. family belongs to BPL family (Below Poverty Line) and poor is eligible under this scheme.   3. Residence proof of head of family member
