HDFC Scholarship for Students who are Studying between Standard 6 to PG Courses

The HDFC Scholarship is launched by HDFC Bank Ltd. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to cover students from recognized Private or Government aided schools between standards 6 and 12 and students studying in undergraduate and post-graduate courses (full-time/part-time degree/diploma/ courses) who due to personal/family crises are unable to continue bearing the cost of education and are at risk of dropping out of school/college/university. Under this scheme candidate students will be awarded the total annual school fee up to a maximum of Rs. 10, 000 and college/university Fee up to a maximum of Rs.25, 000. Candidate who has been through personal/family crises such as bereavement/death/ terminal illness/permanent disability and loss of job of the breadwinner due to accident or any such extreme circumstances are eligible

Benefits of HDFC Scholarship:

  • HDFC Scholarship provides benefits in the form of financial support or scholarship to the poor students from recognized Private or Government aided schools between standards 6 and 12 and students studying in undergraduate and post-graduate courses (full-time/part-time degree/diploma/ courses. Rates of scholarship are mentioned below
  • Students who are studying school will be awarded maximum amount of Rs. 10,000 per year
  • Students who are studying in college/ university will be awarded maximum amount of Rs. 25,000 per year

Required eligibility and conditions for applying for HDFC Scholarship:

  1. Students whose family is facing critical situations because of an unfortunate incident occurred in last 2 years
  2. The applicant must be studying in class 6 -12 or college student pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate course from any recognized university
  3. Candidate annual income should not be more than Rs. 3,00,000

Document required for applying for HDFC Scholarship:

  1. Aadhar card
  2. Bank details e.g. account number, IFSC code, MICR code, branch name, account holder name
  3. All educational certificates and marksheets according to respective standard or course
  4. Identity proof
  5. Bonafide certificate
  6. Income certificate less than Rs. 300000 per year
  7. Scanned imaged in PDF or JPEG format needs to be uploaded while making the application
  8. Verification form duly signed and stamped by head of the institution along with final mark sheet of previous year or final examination
  9. Residence proof

 Application procedure:

  1. Application procedure starts and ends 30th May  to 15th July 2016 or every year
  2. Applicant candidate can apply by visiting HDFC official website http://www.hdfcbank.com/htdocs/common/ECSS_scholarship.htm or HDFC official portal under the section scholarship, Here candidate will find tab for application form
  3. Candidate need to register on the website by entering details required and create a login account
  4. Applicants need login to the account and fill all the required details, upload the documents required in either in PDF or JPEG Format
