The Goa government is presently facing shortage problem of milk, hence government import milk from neighboring States so to achieve self-sufficiency in the milk production, so it is necessary to boost the local production by with help of dairy co-operative hence Goa government started scheming for dairy co-operative. The  Infrastructure Development Scheme for Dairy Cooperatives Societies is the scheme started by the government of Goa to provide financial assistance to dairy co-operative. The main aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to dairy co-operative society for their development  and for their functioning of business and other activity. Benefits of  Infrastructure Development Scheme for Dairy Co-operatives :

  • The government of Goa decides to provide financial assistance to regularly supplying milk union
  • Under the scheme, government of Goa provide Rs. 1, 50, 000 for those who sells 500 liter milk every day
  • Government of Goa grants Rs. 1, 00, 000 for those dairy societies who sells 300-500 liter milk per day
  • Government of Goa grants Rs. 75, 000 for those dairy societies who sells 150-300 liter milk per day
  • The government will provide a 50% loan and 50% subsidy for construction of Godawon- cum-office
  • If SC/ST category person is 70% member of Dairy-cooperative society than eligible to get a 10% loan and 90% total subsidy of the total estimate of cost approved for the scheme

Eligibility for  Infrastructure Development Scheme for Dairy Co-operatives Societies :

  1. Applicant must be permanent resident of Goa
  2. The scheme applies to all the milk producers from Goa State who are members of the Dairy Co-op. Society
  3. The dairy farmer should have register their dairy farm with the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services
  4. The dairy farmer should have own cattle shed and have own milk animal
  5. The incentive of the scheme supply to Goa State Co-operative Milk Producer union

Documents required for applying Infrastructure Development Scheme for Dairy Co-operatives Societies :

  1. Bank details ( MICR No, IFSC code, Account No, Branch Name)
  2. Cast Certificate
  3. Milk supply report from milk union
  4. Attested copy of Schedule Cast Certificate
  5. Domicile certificate of Goa
  6. Affidavit in prescribed format regarding ownership of Cattle Shed.
  7. Attested copy of the Election Photo Identity Card /Aadhar Card.
  8. Passport size photograph of the applicant.
