Kunverbai Nu Mameru Scheme launched by Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims empowerment and welfare of Gujarat Scheduled Caste Girls.  Under this scheme girls of scheduled caste are awarded financial assistance to get married. The scheme gives the amount of Rs. 5000 once to only one girl of the family. A unique initiative was taken by Gujarat government helping many poor girls and economical weaker family. Girls resident of Gujarat and belong to scheduled caste are eligible under this scheme. Application form can be obtained at nearest women and child development department. Applicant should apply at same office with documents mentioned below. To avail benefits of the scheme applicant’s annual income should not more than Rs. 11000 along with other eligibility requirements. Women and Child Development is the nodal agency for implementation of this scheme.

• Under this scheme, a beneficiary is awarded monetary help Rs. 5000 for getting married
• From this amount Rs. 2000 is given to girl’s parents/guardian for daughter’s marriage and Rs. 3000 to girl as a Kisan Vikas Patra

Eligibility and conditions applying for Kunverbai Nu Mameru Scheme:

1. Girls resident of Gujarat
2. Girls belong to Scheduled Class
3. Annual family income should not more than Rs. 11,000

Documents applying for Kunverbai Nu Mameru Scheme:

1. Residence proof: Domicile certificate, Electricity bill
2. Identity proof: Aadhar card, Voter ID
3. BPL card (if available)
4. Caste certificate
5. Age proof: Birth certificate
6. Passport size photograph
7. Income certificate
8. Bank details e.g. IFSC code, MICR code, Account no

Application procedure:

1. Beneficiary applicant should collect application form by visiting Nearest Department of women and child development
2. Applicant must apply at same office with documents mentioned above
