Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced the application and lottery dates for their newly constructed 819 flats in Mumbai.

Eligibility criteria for application of MHADA lottery 2017:

  • Applicant must be more than 18 years of age
  • Applicant/his or her children/spouse must not own/rent a MHADA flat
  • Applicant needs to provide domicile certificate certifying that he is a resident of Maharashtra for consecutive 15 years of last 20 years
  • Family income of the applicant must not be more than specified value for each of the categories mentioned below:
    1. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – up to Rs. 25,000/-
    2. Lower Income Group (LIG) – Rs. 25,001/- to Rs. 50,000/-
    3. Middle Income Group (MIG) – Rs. 50,001/- to Rs. 75,000/-
    4. Higher Income Group (HIG) – Rs. 75,001/- and above
  • Applicant cannot apply more than one in the reserved category if multiple applications are found then all of them will be rejected
  • Applicant can apply only with his own bank account
  • Applicant must have PAN card

Registration & online application procedure for MHADA lottery 2017:

Step 1: Registration of Applicants

  1. Log on to website https://lottery.mhada.gov.in
  2. Applicants will have to first register a USER NAME. The registered USER NAME should not be forgotten. The following information is required for registration- 1. Name, 2. Family Income, 3. Passport size coloured photograph, (cleanly scanned jpg image upto 50kb), 4. PAN Card Number (Pan card will be verified online), 5. Date of Birth (as on PAN Card), 6. Occupation, 7. Marital Status, 8. Gender, 9. Residential

Step 2: Filling up the Online Application Form

  1. After the registration, as explained above, the applicant can log in to his account using the USER NAME and Password. Applications can be filled for the relevant income category mentioned during registration
  2. Before the final submission of online application form, the information in the application can be viewed and EDITED
  3. To Apply, Please click on the link “APPLY FOR LOTTERY”. This will show you the information about all the Schemes available under the relevant  income category
  4. To Apply for a specific Scheme Code Please Click on “APPLICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION FORM”. For filling up the form, information like Scheme Code, Category, mode of payment etc will be required. (All the field required for filling up the application form will be available in the link “APPLICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION FORM”)
  5. After filling up all the information, Please click “SUBMIT”. If there are no changes to be done in the form, then Please Click “CONFIRM”. After this the filled up form can be printed by using “PRINT” button. A PDF document of the form will be generated which can be saved and printed
  6. After taking the printout, sign it and those applicants, who want to make online payment, please go to option “MY APPLICATION” make payment and those applicants, who want to pay through D.D./P.O. submit with D.D./P.O. at respective Axis Bank Branches.

Step 3: Process for depositing the EMD

EMD can be deposited through any of the following four methods: Demand Draft (DD)/Pay Order, Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, NEFT/RTGS
