Matritva Sahayog Yojana is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by Women Empowerment & Child Development (Government of Uttarakhand) for pregnant and lactating women in the state. in this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs. 4,000/- for pregnant and nursing women on fulfilling the norms of vaccination, IFA tablet consumption, pre and post-delivery check-up, breastfeeding, vaccination of children etc. government also provide an additional honorarium of Rs.200/- to Anganwadi worker and Rs.100/- to the Anganwadi helper after successfully completing all the norms by the beneficiaries. The main objectives of the scheme are to improve the health and nutrition status of pregnant, lactating women and infants by promoting appropriate practices, care and service utilization during pregnancy, safe delivery, and lactation. This scheme also encourages women to follow all tests during pregnancy which will ensure a good health for a child as well as a mother. The government has taken an excellent initiative for pregnant and lactating women
Benefits of Matritva Sahayog Yojana for Women in Uttarakhand:
- The government provides financial assistance of Rs. 4,000/- for pregnant & lactating women on fulfilling the norms of vaccination, IFA tablet consumption, pre and post-delivery check-up, breastfeeding, vaccination of children etc.
- Pregnant woman will get compensation of Rs 4000 in three installments
- Government also provide an additional honorarium of Rs.200/- to Anganwadi worker and Rs.100/- to the Anganwadi helper after successfully completing all the norms by the beneficiaries
Eligibility for Matritva Sahayog Yojana for Women in Uttarakhand:
- Applicant should be resident of Uttarakhand state
- Pregnant Women who are 19 years of age or above are eligible for Matritva Sahayog Yojana
- Woman should not be less than 19 years of age
Documents required for Matritva Sahayog Yojana for Women in Uttarakhand:
- Aadhaar card
- Birth certificate
- Identity proof
- Residence proof etc.
How to apply for Matritva Sahayog Yojana:
- Beneficiary woman should contact to Anganwadi center (AWC) in Uttarakhand state
- Applicant also contact Women Empowerment & Child Development
