Mother- Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambal Yojana

The Mother-Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambhal Yojna started by Himachal Pradesh government for providing financial support to widow women. The scheme came into effect from 16-10-2016. The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to widow women for providing education and upbringing, their children up to the age of 18 years. The scheme helps widowed women to maintain reasonable standard living of society for that government of Himachal Pradesh providing Rs. 3000/- per annum per child. To get the benefits of scheme helpless women annual income should be less than 35, 000 and having children under the age of 18 years. The Himachal Pradesh government has provided financial assistance of Rs. 887.97 lakh to 23375 women in state under the scheme

Benefits of Mother- Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambhal Yojna:

  • The government provides the benefits of Rs. 3000 to two children per year per child up to the age of 18 years
  • The benefits will be provided to widow women for educating their children and looking after their children up to two children till they attain age of 18 years

Eligibility for Mother- Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambhal Yojna:

  1. Applicant must be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh
  2. Those women are living under below poverty line are eligible
  3. Widow women in the state are eligible to get the benefits of this scheme
  4. Divorced women in the state are eligible under the scheme
  5. Women whose husbands have been missing for two years and not meet their respective police report are eligible to get the benefits of this scheme
  6. The women not below the poverty line, but the family ‘s annual is below Rs. 35,000 / to get the benefits of this scheme

Documents required for applying Mother- Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambhal Yojana :

  1. Bank details ( MICR No, IFSC code, Account No, Branch Name)
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Copy of family register
  4. Husband ‘s death certificate or destitute
  5. Domicile certificate of Himachal Pradesh
  6. Adhar Card
  7. Certificate of Gram Sabha
  8. The Application/form should be certified by the Secretary Panchayat and Panchayat Pradhan
