Mukhyamantri Amrut Yojana (MAY)

Mukhyamantri Amrut Yojana is another scheme by Chhattisgarh government for the welfare of poor people and especially poor children by the motive of eradicating malnutrition from the state. The scheme was announced by Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh in the financial budget of the state in the year 2016-2017 and the state launched the scheme on 29th April 2016 at Sukma. The scheme will serve 100 ml of sweetened and flavored milk to the children in the age group of 3-6 years at Anganwadi centers on every Monday. There are many families belonging to below poverty line who cannot afford little things essential for the proper growth of their children and hence the scheme is there to rescue such children. Recently it is found that Chhattisgarh government is trying hard to improve its medical facilities and also improve the living conditions of the people in the state and this scheme is the perfect example of the efforts. Since the scheme is launched Chhattisgarh became the first state to serve flavored milk to BPL children

  • Better health: The scheme ensures the better health of the children in the age group of 3-6 years since it is growth age, which leads to better tomorrow
  • Free milk: At present the Chhattisgarh govt. is the only to start such scheme. So they will be working hard to keep an example of the best efforts
  • Low death rate: Since the prime target of the scheme is to reduce malnutrition from the state, there will be decrease in the death rate
  • Excellent tracking: Since the scheme launched is latest and all governments are getting advanced there is excellent tracking of the scheme performance which reduces the chances of corruption
  • Nutrition table maintenance: The scheme will track the nutrient content of the child and accordingly it will provide further facilities

Eligibility for Mukhyamantri Amrut Yojana:

  1. Children in the age group of 3-6 years
  2. Children must be from BPL family
  3. Must be a resident of Chhattisgarh state

  1. Proof of residence (Electricity bill, Water connection bill, Gas connection bill, Ration card, Aadhar card, Voter card, Driving license)
  2. Aadhar card
  3. Ration card
  4. Birth Certificate
  5. BPL card

Application form:

Families willing to get the benefit of the scheme need to visit nearest anganwadi center, and further all procedures are directed by them.
