Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana

Orissa is pretty much famous for providing workers for construction sites across India and that’s the reason we see so many huge construction sites. But, ever imagined how difficult worker’s life is? They do not have pucca ghar, no facilities like power, water, sanitation and shelter, irony is that the workers who constructs strong buildings for others, they only do not have houses to live in. To overcome these problems there is the scheme by Orissa Government i.e. “Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana” under which these shramik workers are eligible for the grant by government for the construction of houses and get access to facilities. The scheme kept minimum registration requirement that the workers should have is 5 years, if worker is registered for minimum of 5 years only then he is eligible for the grant. The scheme is very flexible and also includes the workers who are not in the state

Benefits of Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana:

  • Grant to construct house: The scheme provides grant of Rs. 1 lakhs to the worker to construct pucca ghar (house)
  • Pension: The scheme also has the provision by which the worker after attaining the age of 60 years will get pension of Rs. 500 per month
  • Covers workers gone out of the state: The best thing about the scheme is that it covers the workers who are not in the state but are Orissa state resident and are signed for minimum of 5 years of agreement
  • Planning to cover other expenses as well: The scheme is also planning to cover other expenses to make workers life easy, like educational expenses and death insurance

Eligibility for Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana:

  1. Worker must be Orissa state resident
  2. He/she must be registered with Odisha Building & Odisha Construction Worker Welfare Board for minimum of 5 years

Documents Required:

  1. BPL card
  2. Agreement signed paper with Odisha Building & Odisha Construction Worker Welfare Board
  3. Certificate from the construction company for whom he/she is working and in which state they are working
  4. Resident Proofs (Voter Id, Aadhar Card, Electricity bill (if any), Driving license)
  5. Aadhar Card

Application form:

To get the benefit of the scheme and get grant sanctioned beneficiary only need to visit Dist. Labour Officer and apply for the grant. The process is very simple and user friendly
