Petrol Subsidy Scheme to Persons with Disability

The Petrol Subsidy Scheme to Persons with Disability started by Central Government, Ministry of Social Welfare. The scheme is especially launched for persons who are physically handicapped or disable and have less financial income from all sources. The main objective behind this scheme is to reduce some financial burden of disable persons and encourage then to be a live a normal life. Under this scheme 50% subsidy on actual expenditure on purchase of petrol/ diesel provided i.e. maximum 30 litters but those person who are physically disable and are owner of motorized vehicles and have annual income less than Rs. 3,00,000 are eligible. For getting benefits under this scheme applicant candidate must need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned below.

  • Petrol Subsidy Scheme to Persons with Disability provides benefits in the form of subsidy on Petrol and Diesel provided
  • Under this scheme 50% subsidy on actual expenditure on purchase of petrol/ diesel provided i.e. maximum 30 litters
  • Due to this scheme some financial burden will be reduced from disable person

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Petrol Subsidy Scheme to Persons with Disability:

  1. Those person who are physically disable and are owner of motorized vehicles
  2. Applicant candidate should not have income more than Rs. 3,00,000 from all eligible sources
  3. Those persons with disability who are already in receipt of the conveyance allowance either from any voluntary or Govt. source shall not be eligible for grant of subsidy on purchase of petrol/ diesel
  4. Disable person should be residence of India

Document required for applying Petrol Subsidy Scheme to Persons with Disability:

  1. Two passport size photographs
  2. Residence proof for the last three years (Voter Identity Card, Ration Card, Electricity Bill)
  3. Copy of disability certificate/identity card with 40% or above disability
  4. Copy of registration certificate of the vehicle which should be in the name of the applicant
  5. Copy of driving license of the applicant
  6. Income certificate not more than Rs. 3 lakh per annum

Application procedure:

  1. Applicant candidate can collect application form from nearer Social Welfare Office and by filling that application candidate can submit along with required documents

    Petrol Or Diesel ( Fuel ) clause should be applicable to the person with disability with 40 % & above. There should not be condition of annual income. It should be applicable to disable person 1) Vehicle to be registered on applicant’s name. 2) It should be Invalid Carrier 3) Self driven car.
