Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship

The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship scheme started by central government (ministry of human resource and development) for students pursuing higher studies in Sanskrit from a recognized educational institution at the level of Shastri, Graduation, Acharya, Post graduation, Vidyavaridhi, Ph.D. The main objective of this scheme is to propagation, promotion, and learning & research in the Sanskrit language in India and providing financial assistance to students who are pursuing an education in Sanskrit

Benefits of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship:

  • Scholarship for class 9th and 10th is RS. 2500 per year or 250 per month
  • Scholarship for class 11th and 12th is RS. 3000 per year or 300 per month
  • Scholarship for B.A/Shastri is 4000 per year or 400 per month
  • Scholarship for M.A/ Acharya is 5000 per year or 500 per month
  • Scholarship for D/ Vidyavaridhi is RS.15000 per year or 1500 per month and Rs. 2000 as contingency for 2 year
  • Scholarship will be paid for complete duration of course i.e. 10 months of year

Eligibility for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship:

  1. Scholarship will be granted strictly on the basis of previous scores
  2. Students of 2nd year of any class can also be applied for Scholarship
  3. Eligibility for class 9th and 10th – student must have secure 60% marks in the previous exam and concern subject
  4. Eligibility for class 11th and 12th – student must have secure 60% marks in the previous exam and concern subject
  5. Eligibility for B.A/Shastri/Graduation – student must have secure 60% marks and also in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit subject in 12th
  6. Eligibility for M.A/ Acharya – student must have secure 60% average in graduation in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit
  7. Eligibility for Vidyavaridhi, Ph.D. – student must have secure 60% in M.A/ Acharya in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit
  8. Those students belong to SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped they have special reservation like
  • SC/ST: 50% in any qualifying exam all mention above
  • OBC students: 55% in any qualifying exam all mention above
  • Physically handicapped: 50% in any of the above-mentioned qualifying examination

Document required for applying for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship:

  1. Attested Marksheet of latest qualifying examination
  2. Caste certificate
  3. If student is physically handicapped the then that certificate from respective competent authority
  4. For class 9th and 10th students, they must submit scholarship application form duly signed by concerned district education officer
  5. Passport size photo
  6. Bank passbook (Account holders name, account no, name of the bank & branch, IFSC code, MICR code etc.)
  7. Self-attested copy of the first page of bank account passbook carrying bank account number & address

Application procedure for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship:

Step 1: the First student can download application form online from the following link: http://www.sanskrit.nic.in/Scholership_form_13.pdf
Step 2: the Second student need to feel complete application form, Application must be filled in prescribed form only. Each column should be properly filled up and must be signed by the Principal/Head of Institution with seal/Rubber stamp
Step 3: Third fix the passport sized photo
Step 4: Fourth the application form must be filled in Hindi or English language only
Step 5: Fifth attach all the documents mention above (NOTE: application must reach the application centers mentioned below before the last date of the application)
