S.N. Bose Scholarships Programme

S.N. Bose Scholarships Programme is organised by Science & Engineering Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India together with  Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW). S. N. Bose scholarship program is an exchange program between primer institutions in India and United States. The program is named in honour of Satyendra Nath Bose, a visionary Indian physicist best known for his work on quantum mechanics. This scholarship provide an opportunity to Indian students to experience world-class research facilities in leading U.S. institutions and also pave the way for the next generation of pioneers and innovators in science and technology to interact with each other.

Required Eligibility and Conditions for Applying S.N. Bose Scholarships Programme:

  1. Candidates currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Atmospheric and earth Sciences; Chemical Sciences; Engineering; Mathematical and Computational Sciences; and, Physical Sciences are eligible to apply
  2. Applications in subject-fields other than those specified in the advertisement will not be considered
  3. Top two rank holders from each department should have an endorsement from a competent authority at their respective parent institutions
  4. In case you do not have a passport, kindly apply for one and mention ‘applied for’ in the application form

Document Required for Applying S.N. Bose Scholarships Programme:

  1. Mark sheets
  2. Letter of Recommendation: Two letter of recommendation from a faculty member, advisor or a lab supervisor on their official letter head
  3. NOC letter from parent institution
  4. Passport scanned copy of first and last page

Application Procedure:

  1. Applicants may download the application form from indousstf.org
  2. Fill in the application by editing the .doc file format given
  3. Get the necessary documents scanned
  4. Compile together the application and these documents as a single pdf document
  5. If you are unable to send the PDF as a single file, you may split it and send it as two or three PDF documents
  6. Send your applications to bose@indousstf.org well before the deadline
