Thayi Bhagya Scheme

The Thayi Bhagya Scheme is started by Karnataka government (Health and Family Welfare) for pregnant women. This revolutionary scheme provides totally free service for the pregnant women belonging to BPL families, in registered private hospitals. A pregnant woman belonging to BPL family can avail delivery services free of cost in the registered private hospital near her house. She is not required to pay any charges right from the point of admission to discharge and free medicine and all other facilities will be provided

Benefits of Thayi Bhagya Scheme:

• The Thayi Bhagya Scheme provides benefits in the form of delivery services free of cost and others. The benefits are mentioned in detailed below
• Women belonging to BPL families can avail totally cashless treatment in these private hospitals or pregnant woman belonging to BPL family can avail delivery services free of cost in the registered private hospital near her house
• Registered private hospital will available near her house under this scheme
• Candidate is not required to pay any charges right from the point of admission to discharge
• Free check up and medicine will be provided

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Thayi Bhagya Scheme:

1. The benefit is limited to the first two deliveries
2. The candidate women must be residents of Karnataka government
3. The candidate women must belong to SC and ST category and below poverty line

Application procedure and documents required for applying Thayi Bhagya Scheme:

1. Domicile certificate
2. BPL card or Ration card
3. Caste certificate
4. Aadhar card
5. ANC registration number along with noting whether it is first or second delivery (Junior Female Health Assistant)

Application procedure:

1. The pregnant women have to register their names with the Junior Female Health Assistant of the area
2. The women will issue ANC card
3. The beneficiaries are identified through the ANC cards issued to them
4. Then-candidate can avail benefits from nearer registered hospital
