The Unemployment Allowance Scheme to Persons with Disability is started by Central Government, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Welfare. The scheme is specially introduced for disabling unemployed youth of the country who are well qualified able to get a job but they don’t have a job to earn enough fund. The main aim of this scheme is to provide financial help to unemployed disabled so that their financial burden would reduce and will able to get a job. Under this scheme amount of Rs. 150 to Rs. 400 per month is provided. Forgetting eligible under this scheme candidate need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned in below article. Unemployed youth who have not job can take benefits of this scheme

Benefits of Unemployment Allowance Scheme to Persons with Disability:

  • Unemployment Allowance Scheme to Persons with Disability provides benefits in the form of financial assistance so that disabled person would get the reduced financial burden. Rates of financial assistance are mentioned below
  • For Matriculate and Under Graduate Applicants: For visually handicapped and Deaf and Dumb person Rs. 300 per month For other categories of Handicapped Persons Rs. 150 per month
  • For Graduate/ Post Graduate Applicants: For visually handicapped and Deaf and Dumb person Rs. 400 per month For other categories of
  • Handicapped Persons Rs. 200 per month

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Unemployment Allowance Scheme to Persons with Disability:

  1. All educated unemployed disabled persons are eligible for the grant of unemployment allowance who are qualified for getting a job but are not able to find employment due to various reasons
  2. Candidate age should be between 18-30 years
  3. The total family income of parents should not exceed Rs.60,000 per annum
  4. Candidate should have minimum two years registration in the Special Employment Exchange in the U.T. Chandigarh
  5. Candidate should have been residing in U.T. Chandigarh for a period of at least three years immediately before the submission of application
  6. Candidate must be permanent resident of India

Document required for applying Unemployment Allowance Scheme to Persons with Disability:

  1. Two passport size photographs
  2. Residence proof for the last three years (Voter Identity Card, Ration Card, Electricity Bill)
  3. Proof of the age (Birth Certificate/ Voter Identity Card/ School Certificate)
  4. Proof of educational qualification,(10th onwards)
  5. Disability identity card
  6. Income certificate
  7. Registration card of special employment exchange, UT, Chandigarh
  8. Aadhar card
  9. Bank detail e.g. account number, account holder name, branch name, IFSC code, MICR code

Application procedure:

  1. Candidate can collect application form from nearer Social Welfare Office of District level or Taluka level or Applicant can download application form by clicking mentioned website https://govinfo.me/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/unemp.doc
  2. And by filling that form with proper documents applicant can submit it to Social Welfare Office
