Widow’s Daughter Marriage Scheme

After the death of husband a woman falls in great crisis and faces tremendous hardship, and so she needs help specifically and she needs economic support for upbringing her child and marries her daughter hence Rajasthan government recognizes the need and started scheming for widows. The widow’s daughter marriage scheme is initiated by the government of Rajasthan (Department of Women and Child Development) for the marriage of widow’s daughter belonging to poor families. The scheme provides financial assistance to the poor widow for performing the wedding of their daughter. The Rajasthan government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 10, 000 for each of their daughter’s marriage, but the daughter, age should not be less than 18 years.

Benefits of Widow’s Daughter Marriage Scheme:

1. The government will provide the financial assistance of 10,000 to widow for  their daughter’s marriage

Eligibility for Widow’s Daughter Marriage Scheme:

1. The scheme is only for the widow’s daughter
2. Applicant must be the resident of Rajasthan
3. The widow, daughter marriage scheme is only for marriage of a widow’s daughter
4. The applicant must come under below the poverty line
5. She is not receiving any pension from central government or state government
6. The annual income of widow should not be more than Rs. 50, 000
7. Age of daughter should not be more than 18 years

Documents required for applying Widow’s Daughter Marriage Scheme:

1. The widow must be a permanent resident in Rajasthan
2. Income certificate of widow
3. Identity proof (Election card, Adhar card)
4. Residential proof (Electricity bill, Gas connection bill, Water bill)
5. Bank details of widow (MICR No, IFSC code, Account No, Branch Name)
