Uttar Pradesh government has launched scheme called Asan Kist Yojana (आसान किश्त योजना). Under the scheme poor families in villages or cities of UP can pay electricity bill in installments. Poor families from cities have to pay electricity bill in 12 installments and families from villages can pay in 24 installments. Beneficiaries will have to pay minimum 5% of the pending bill due or Rs.1500 as monthly installment. This scheme is implemented by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).

Eligibility:
- Scheme is applicable in Uttar Pradesh state only
- Scheme is available only for 4 kilo watt domestic connections only
- Scheme is applicable only for poor families in urban or rural areas
