To ensure safe and sufficient drinking water to each and every household in the state

On August 23, 2021, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minster Pema Khandu virtually launched BESTOW 1.0 initiative in the state. This initiative mainly aims to provide safe and sufficient drinking water to the residents on a regular basis. Under this programme the state government will provide in-village components of water supply in all the districts. It aims to ensure clean and safe drinking water in each and every household. This initiative is launched in line with the Jal Jeevan Mission which aims at provision of safe and sufficient drinking water to all households through tap water connections by 2024. The state government aims at achieving the target for the state a year before i.e., by 2023.
