DBT-Star College Mentorship Programme

To assist and strengthen the concept of networking, handholding and outreach thereby inculcating interest of the youth in science and innovation field.

On November 8, 2021 Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh launched DBT-Star College Mentorship Programme for young innovators in the country. This is a first ever mentorship programme launched in the country for the youth. It mainly focuses on scientific research and innovation. It intends to assist and strengthen the concept of networking, handholding and outreach. This initiative aims to inculcate interest of the youth in science and innovation field. Under this initiative the government aims at starting a Star College in every district of the country.  Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science and Technology will support the colleges. Star colleges aim at strengthening Under Graduate Science courses in the country.
