District Industry Center Loan Scheme (DIC)

District Industry Center Loan Scheme (DIC) is the third part of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) under which the rural areas of Maharashtra State are covered for the implementation. It’s launched by the motive of promoting self-employment and eradicate unemployment from rural Maharashtra. Under the scheme financial assistance is provided in the form of margin money in total project cost. By this, with few contribution of money from unemployed person’s side and rest by government tiny industries are launched or tiny industries are enhanced and more employments are generated in rural Maharashtra.

Benefits of District Industry Center Loan Scheme:

  • For General category: 20% assistance of total investment or Rs. 40, 000 whichever is less
  • For SC/ST category: 30% assistance of fixed capital investment or Rs. 60, 000 whichever is less
  • Very low rate of interest: Governments rate of interest on this loan is 4%
  • Maximum repayment time: The scheme provides 7 years of time for the repayment of loan amount
  • Maximum benefit to rural artisan: Since the scheme covers wide range of industries and options the most benefitted community is artisans.

Eligibility for District Industry Loan Scheme:

  1. Units whose investment does not exceeds Rs. 2 Lakhs are eligible for the scheme
  2. Towns and villages must have population less than 1 lakhs
  3. Unit that want to avail the scheme must fall under small scale industry board, village industry board, handicraft, handloom, silk and coir industry

Documents required for the scheme:

  1. Caste Certificate
  2. Educational mark sheets and degree (min Std VIII pass)
  3. Birth Certificate
  4. Bank passbook
  5. Domicile in the state of Maharashtra for the last 15 years
  6. Industry license (in case beneficiary already have an industry)
  7. Complete plan of industry (if beneficiary establishes new industry)

Since the programme is implemented at ground level after complete survey by KVIC and other organizations, application form are also available with these bodies likes official body and nationalize banks.
