Employment Guarantee Scheme Planting Program Related to Horticulture

Employment Guarantee Scheme planting program related to horticulture is launched by the state government of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, the agriculture department of Maharashtra provides grant or subsidy for dry fruit crop, irrigated fruit crop or some other crops. The subsidy provides under this scheme is for dry fruit crops like mango, cashew, Bor, sitaphala, whale tamarind, jackfruit, frying, jamun, wood apple or for Irrigated fruit crops like coconut, orange, Citrus, stingy, pomegranates, Peru, figs, paper lemon, nuts etc. the government also provide others crops such as Jojoba, bamboo, Jatropha, panapimpari, rubber, telatada, Spices crops, medicinal plants. The main purpose of this programme is to give employment to the farmers with the help of planting programme related to horticulture. All farmers are able to get benefits under this scheme. The government provides plantation crop for those farmers who have own agriculture land and availability of water in the farm. The subsidy provides to farmers in three phases such as 50% for the first year, 30% for the second year and 20% for the third year. The subsidy is provided for three continues years but only if 75% trees for the second year and 90% trees for the third year are alive. The Beneficiary grants are credited directly to the bank accounts

  1. All farmers are eligible for this scheme
  2. Farmer should have own agriculture land
  3. Farmers should have availability of water
  4. Farmers domicile of Maharashtra are eligible for this scheme
