The Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence in Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation Limited). Under this scheme, topper of the school / College / Institute for the course will be awarded a certain amount through the prescribed process. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is To recognize the topper of the recognized and reputed School / College / Institute for his academic excellence in SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent / Graduation / Professional Education Course / Post Graduation for the Academic year. This scheme is applicable for students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts, who were the toppers of the recognized and reputed School / College / Institute for the academic year. The candidate would get the amount of financial only once he/she is the topper of respective course

Benefits of Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence in Andhra Pradesh:

  • Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence in Andhra Pradesh provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to those students who are the topper of the recognized and reputed School / College / Institute for his academic excellence in SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent / Graduation / Professional Education Course / Post Graduation for the Academic year. Rates of scholarship are mentioned below
  • SSC (10th Class): Rs. 7,500
  • Intermediate or equivalent Final Year (Polytechnic, ITI, etc.): Rs. 10,000
  • Graduation Final Year: Rs. 15,000
  • Professional Education Course Final Year: Rs. 20,000
  • Post Graduation Final Year: Rs. 20,000
  • Amount of scholarship will be direct will be transferred to students Bank account
  • Priority will be given in selection to Orphan, Single mother, Physically challenged, Girl student, Economically very poor

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence in Andhra Pradesh:

  1. The student and his parents should belong to Brahmin Community and parents should be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh
  2. Must be a regular student of the course in any School / College / Institute for the academic year
  3. Should be the topper of the course (at the end of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent / Graduation /
  4. Professional Education Course / Post Graduation) in the School / College / Institute for the
  5. academic year
  6. The toppers of SCC / Intermediate or equivalent and Graduation should have completed the course in Andhra Pradesh. However, toppers of PEC / PG may have completed the course from anywhere in India but parents should be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh
  7. Should not have availed himself/ herself any amount under any other Government scheme for the same purpose

Document required for applying Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence in Andhra Pradesh:

  1. Aadhar Card of the student and parents/guardian
  2. A certificate issued by the Head of the School / College / Institute, indicating that the student is topper of the school / College / Institute for the course for the academic year
  3. Caste Certificate issued by competent authority
  4. Copy of Account Passbook in Andhra Bank (account must be in the name of applicant)
  5. Passport size photograph (in jpeg format)

Application procedure:

  1. Eligible students shall fill their application online:andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in in the prescribed format
  2. Applicant should upload the scanned copies (in pdf of maximum 150 kb size each) of the documents mentioned above
  3. Note for 2016: Last date for receiving online applications shall be 6 pm on 30 September 2016
