To provide a platform of self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the youth in the state

On August 2, 2021, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated a unique scheme named ‘Har Hith Store’ for the rural and urban youth in the state. Under this scheme, a chain of grocery shops will be started in rural as well as urban areas of the state. These shops will distribute best quality essential or daily need products at affordable prices. This scheme will be implemented in phases. As a part of this initiative in the first phase about 1,500 stores will be opened in the rural areas and 500 stores in the urban areas. In the second phase about 5,000 stores are planned to be opened. This scheme aims to encourage youth to take up new self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the state. CM stated that Making Haryana Berojgar Mukt, Rozgar Yukt by 2024 is the target of the state government and this scheme is a crucial step towards the same.

  • He stated if the youth earn Rs. 12,000 then the government will give him a compensation and assistance of Rs. 3,000/- ; if the income is Rs. 13,000 then the government will give Rs. 2,000/- and so on
  • In whichever case the state government ensures minimum Rs. 15,000 monthly income through these stores
  • CM stated that the state government aims to make the youth a job giver instead of job seeker
  • He further stated that Making Haryana Berojgar Mukt, Rozgar Yukt by 2024 is the target of the government wherein each and every young individual will have a work in his hand and opening these stores will contribute to the effort of encouraging entrepreneurship
