Indira Gandhi Maternity Support Plan launched by Government of Madhya Pradesh. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to partially compensate the loss of wages for pregnant and lactating women before and after the birth of their baby and to improve the status of health and nutrition of pregnant and lactating women. The scheme has been endorsed on 24th September 2011 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Women, and Child Development Department. The scheme is being executed in towns by Anganwadi Centers through the structure of Integrated Child Development. The applicant who willing to get benefits of this scheme should apply at Nearest Anangwadi or District Women and Child Development office. Under this scheme a total amount of Rs. 4000 in three installments is being given to women who fulfill the eligibility and conditions

 Benefits of Indira Gandhi Maternity Support Plan in Madhya Pradesh:

  • Indira Gandhi Maternity Support Plan help in the form of financial assistance to the women
  • Under this scheme total amount of Rs. 4000 in three installments is being given to women who fulfill the eligibility and conditions
  • The scheme provides Rs. 200 to Anganwadi Worker and Rs. 100 to Assistant on the basis of per beneficiary, is given an incentive amount
  • This is prime initiative taken by Madhya Pradesh government for women and girls of the state

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Indira Gandhi Maternity Support Plan in Madhya Pradesh:

  1. Pregnant and lactating women of 19 years of age or older are eligible for their first two live babies
  2. All girls and women who are residents of Madhya Pradesh state are eligible under this scheme or can take benefit of this scheme

Document required for applying Indira Gandhi Maternity Support Plan in Madhya Pradesh:

  1. Aadhar card
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Residence proof
  4. Bank details e.g. IFSC code, MICR code, branch name, account number
  5. Identity proof
  6. BPL ration card (if available)

Application procedure:

  1. This scheme is implemented by Ministry of Women and Child Development. The applicant who willing to get benefits of this scheme should apply at Nearest Anangwadi or District Women and Child Development office
