To achieve integrated development of villages  

CMO Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat, inaugurated Integrated Model Agricultural Village Scheme in the state on October 21, 2020. This scheme is mainly for the development and betterment of the villages in the state. This scheme is in partnership with NABARD. It is an important step in the holistic development of villages. It aims at developing the villages where residents have access to all the services, organic farming, irrigation facilities, etc with improvement in all the socio-economic indicators

Scheme Objectives and Benefits:

  • The main objective of the scheme is to enable an area-based and integrated development approach
  • Development under this scheme will help the residents of the village to access basic amenities and services like basic drinking water, sanitation, health, education, housing, roads, transport, etc easily.
  • It tends to focus on organic agriculture, irrigation, mechanism in the mountainous regions
  • Safe drinking water will be provided to the remotest area
  • Farmers will be provided with good quality of seeds to boost the farm produce
  • NABARD will support the state government in these activities
  • Financial assistance in the form of loans will also be provided to the farmers under this scheme
  • This scheme will boost the rural economy in the long run

  • Integrated Model Agricultural Village Scheme is an initiative by the Uttarakhand government in partnership with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the development of villages in the state

  • Government is soon to announce umbrella brand Agri products to increase brand value of the farmer’s produce thereby boosting their income
  • CM stated increased farming mechanization in the villages with the help of NABARD
