To encourage SC and ST category for setting up new industrial units thereby boosting self-employment opportunities 

Andhra Pradesh government has come up with a new initiative ‘Jagananna YSR Badugu Vikasam’. On October 26, 2020, CMO Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched this initiative as a part of the special industrial policy 2020-23. This programme is for SC and ST entrepreneurs in the state. CM launched this scheme at his camp office at Tadepalli. This programme mainly for boosting the SC and ST entrepreneurs to come up and set up new industrial units in the state. It aims at overall development of the SC and ST category people in the state. Many scheme, initiatives and incentives are constantly rolled out in the state for development of SC, ST, BC, OBC category as well as economically weaker people from upper caste.

  • The main objective of this initiative is to assist the SC and ST category people for setting up new industries in the state
  • It aims to promote self-employment opportunities
  • Incentives up to 1 crore will be provided under the initiative

  • Skill training and skill development programmes will also be conducted for the beneficiaries
  • Fiscal incentives, extension of stamp duty, interest subsidy, investment subsidy, land allotment, patent registration and other incentives and assistance will be also provided
