Telangana state government launched KCR kit scheme for pregnant women across the state. This scheme was started in the year 2017. This scheme is applicable to pregnant and lactating women in the state for up to 2 deliveries in a government hospital. Under this scheme, a financial assistance of Rs. 12,000 will be provided to the pregnant woman in 3 phases, and additional Rs. 1000 will be given to the woman in case of giving birth to a baby girl. Apart from financial assistance a KCR kit will be provided to the beneficiary women. This kit includes essential items for the mother as well as her child such as soaps, mosquito net, baby oil, napkins, diapers, etc. To get the benefit of the scheme the women should get themselves registered on the official government scheme portal @kcrkit.telangana.gov.in or by visiting the Public Health Centre. This scheme aims at encouraging more deliveries at government hospitals as well as aims at reducing female foeticide cases in the state. It tends to ensure the wellness of the mother as well as the baby.

Eligibility:

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Telangana
• Applicant should be a pregnant woman/ lactating mother
• Applicant should take the treatment and undergo delivery in a government hospital in Telangana
• Pregnant women up to 2 deliveries will be covered under the scheme

How To Apply:

The process to apply under the KCR Kit scheme is as follows:

• Visit the official scheme portal @ kcrkit.telangana.gov.in
• Click on the login option on the home page
• Enter the user name, password and enter captcha code as given
• Click on sign in
• On the next page get the Aadhaar/ Mother ID verified
• And start with new registration
• Fill the registration form as displayed with details like name, husband name, date of registration, expected date of delivery, location details, bank details, mobile no., community, etc
• Enter previous delivery details (if any)
• Fill in the ANC details, Delivery Details and click on Update option
• Enter the child’s details as in gender, DOB, weight, height, blood group, etc and submit
• The form will then be verified and accordingly once approved as per the eligibility check the financial assistance amount of Rs. 12,000 will be credited to the beneficiary bank account directly
• In case of a baby girl Rs. 1000 will be credited in addition to Rs. 12,000
