Manav Garima Yojana launched by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (Scheduled Caste Welfare Department), Government of Gujarat. A scheme introduced with an aim to encourage scheduled caste people to set up a small business and promote employment and self-reliance among them. An initiative of Gujarat government helping many scheduled caste family to establish a small business and earn bread and butter. Under this scheme, people satisfy eligibility criteria to get financial assistance or tools to start a small business, without obtaining a bank loan. The purpose of this scheme is upliftment of scheduled caste people. All scheduled caste people resident of Gujarat and wish to start a business is eligible under this scheme. To know more about the scheme and obtain application form people can visit nearest Scheduled caste welfare office or social welfare office.

Benefits of Manav Garima Yojana:

  • Manav Garima Yojana has introduced with a view to encouraging Scheduled caste people to be self-employed and self-reliant. The scheme provides benefits in the form of financial assistance and other. Benefits are mentioned below in details
  • Under this scheme financial assistance or tools are given to start small business or to be self-employed
  • Under this scheme, financial assistance Rs. 4000 for equipment purchase will be provided, without obtaining bank loan

Required eligibility and conditions applying for Manav Garima Yojana:

  1. People resident of Gujarat are eligible
  2. Students belong to scheduled class are eligible
  3. People have less annual income are eligible
  4. Rural people should not have the annual income more than Rs. 47,000
  5. Urban people should not have the annual income more than Rs. 68,000

Required documents for Manav Garima Yojana:

  1. Identity proof: Aadhar card, Voter ID, College ID etc.
  2. Residence proof: Residence certificate etc.
  3. Income proof
  4. Aadhar card
  5. Passport size photograph
  6. Bank details e.g. Account number, IFSC, MICR code
  7. Caste certificate
  8. Bank passbook copy
  9. Other documents may be required

Application procedure:

  1. The scheme implemented by state government since applicant can download the application form by visiting the link mentioned below else can collect from scheduled caste welfare office or social welfare office. Applicant can collect application from the same office
