To promote Sanskrit language education thereby reviving the ancient Gurukul system in line with the existing education system

Gujarat government is about to launch a new scheme named ‘Mission Gurukul Yojana’ for promoting Sanskrit culture in schools in line with the existing education system. This scheme will be promoting and developing the existing 37 Sanskrit Pathshalas in the state. This will encourage the students to take up Sanskrit language and study it in detail. This scheme tends to develop a platform for students to learn Sanskrit language thereby reviving the ancient culture across the state. About Rs. 10 crores budget is allocated for this scheme by the state government.
