MSME-Sustainable (ZED) Scheme

To encourage the MSMEs for ZED certification thereby providing incentives and assistance

Central government came up with a new scheme named ‘MSME-Sustainable (ZED)’ for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country. This scheme is expected to be launched on January 26, 2021 by Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr. Nitin Gadkari. Under this scheme more incentives and financial assistance will be provided by the financial institutions/ ministries to the MSME units which are ZED certified. ZED refers to emphasizing on Zero Defect and Zero Effect. It is extremely important for the MSMEs to use Zero Defect and Zero Effect method in their production processes. It leads to reduction in wastage and sustainable increased productivity. This scheme will be an attempt to encourage the firms towards the same. Process of ZED certification will also be simplified in this scheme.
