To support the children across the state who lost both the parents due to covid thereby ensuring their betterment and welfare

On July 19, 2021 the Haryana government newly launched ‘Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojana’ for the children who lost their parents due to covid. This launch was undertaken by Home and Health Minister, Haryana, Mr. Anil Vij. This scheme is launched mainly to support the children who lost their parents and are facing hardships in this pandemic period. It is an important step taken by the state government to take care of the beneficiary children in these tough times. The state government will provide a financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 per month, per child to the family members until the child attain adulthood, i.e., till 18 years of age. Children with no family member/ guardian will be provided shelter at Child Care Institutions. In such cases Rs. 1,500 will be provided as assistance amount per month per child.

Objectives and Benefits:

  • The main objective of the scheme is to provide assistance to the children who lost their parents due to covid
  • Under the scheme, a financial assistance of Rs. 2500 per month will be provided to the family member till the child attain the age of 18 years
  • 12,000 per annum will also be given to the children till they attain 18 years of age
  • Children with no family member/ guardian will be provided shelter at Child Care Institutions and will be provided Rs. 1,500 as monthly assistance

  • This scheme is launched for the welfare and social security of the children who lost their parents or are orphaned due to covid
  • Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 per month will be provided to the family member till the child attain the age of 18 years

  • Children with no family members/ guardian will be provided shelter at state government’s Child Care Institutions
  • All the expenses of such children will be borne by the Child care institution and state government will provide a financial assistance of Rs. 1500 per month for each child
  • This amount will be deposited in the bank account in the form of recurring deposit and the maturity amount will be given to the child on attaining the age of 21 years
  • This scheme will help the students with further studies without having financial constraints as upbringing and education of such children will be taken care of by the government.

  • During the launch, Mr. Vij also urged people to continue wearing their masks and maintain social distancing irrespective of the covid situation being currently in control and praised the social organisations for their relentless voluntary work during these tough times.
