Mukhya Mantri Shishu Suraksha Avum Sutkeri Sahayog Yojna

The Mukhya Mantri Shishu Suraksha Avum Sutkeri Sahayog Yojna started by Sikkim State Government (Ministry of Women and Child Development) for pregnant women and her child. The scheme is introduced on 15th August 2011. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to promote institutional deliveries in government hospitals and health centers and also to improve the overall health and nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women including Children up to year of age. Under this scheme, mother and child are getting benefits as a financial assistance to both of them. This scheme is only limited to women who are the permanent residents of Meghalaya and her child. Benefits of Mukhya Mantri Shishu Suraksha Avum Sutkeri Sahayog Yojna:

  • Mukhya Mantri Shishu Suraksha Avum Sutkeri Sahayog Yojna provides benefits by providing financial assistance to mother and child along with other benefits. Rates of financial assistance are mentioned below
  • At the time of delivery, mother would get the benefit of Rs. 3,000 only one time
  • Another benefit is Rs. 500 per month till the child attains the age of 6 years

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Mukhya Mantri Shishu Suraksha Avum Sutkeri Sahayog Yojna:

  1. All pregnant women of state who are aged 19 years and above are eligible
  2. Pregnant women belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) are eligible
  3. Pregnant women giving birth to first child (Male or Female) at a government health institution age eligible
  4. Pregnant women giving birth to first child (Female) at a government health institution age eligible
  5. Women should be permanent residents of Sikkim state

Document required for applying Mukhya Mantri Shishu Suraksha Avum Sutkeri Sahayog Yojna:

  1. BPL Ration card
  2. Age proof (e.g. Birth certificate)
  3. Aadhar card
  4. Permanent residence proof
  5. Respective scheme card issued by government authority

Application procedure:

  1. Pregnant women need nor to apply. Once she gets admitted in government health institution she will be get benefited undoubtedly. If she finds any obstacle then can contact to mentioned authorities below
