On October 28, 2021 Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhu-adhikar Yojana in the state. This scheme intends to distribute plots of land to the families who are poor and do not own any land or property in the state. This scheme tends to ensure that each and every family lives a dignified life with a shelter of their own. Plots under this scheme will be allotted on the Abadi land in the rural areas of the state. Maximum area for plot will be 60 square meters. Residents can make applications online through SAARA portal. Government will allot plot ownership to the eligible families in the name of husband and wife jointly. This scheme aims to provide a housing space for each family in need thereby ensuring their welfare.
