Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa-Sajuli Yojana – A scheme for farmers by Assam government

Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa-Sajuli scheme is launched by CMO Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal on February 11, 2019. This scheme basically aims at providing financial assistance (DBT) to the small and marginal farmers across the state of Assam. This scheme mainly focuses to provide funds to the farmers for purchasing farm tools and equipments.

Scheme Objectives:

  • The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the small and marginal farmers to buy necessary farm tools
  • To improve overall farm productivity, new farm tools and technology
  • To improve the income of farmers.

  • This scheme will lead the purchase of necessary tools and will help the farmers to increase their production
  • It will increase income and profitability of farmers
  • The farmers will get the benefit directly into their bank accounts

Eligibility:

  • The applicant Farmer should be a resident of Assam
  • The scheme benefit can be availed by small and marginal farmers only.
  • Age of the applicant farmer should be more than 21 years
  • 1 farmer, per family will be able to get the benefit.
  • Active bank account is an essential for direct benefit transfer

How to Apply for Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa-Sajuli Yojana:

  • For enrolling under Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa-Sajuli yojana, the applicant farmer should visit the official website @ assam.gov.in

  • Then click on ‘Schemes and Projects’ tab and select the Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa-Sajuli yojana

  • Go through the advertisement and guidelines before applying
  • Download the application form in English/ Assamese language as preferred
  • Fill the application form, with the required details like full name, village name, gram panchayat, crop details, etc.

  • Fill in the Savings bank account details, fill the declaration and sign the form.
  • Submit the form, bank details, and a valid mobile no. to AEA’s (agricultural extension assistant’s) office.

Once the application is approved, the amount is transferred directly to the beneficiaries account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

  • Under this scheme, the financial assistance given to the farmers is Rs. 5000/- per farmer
  • Total 5 lakh farmers are covered under this scheme
  • The selection of beneficiaries will be made by a District Level Committee
  • Execution of the scheme is mainly under the supervision of State Level Monitoring Committee.
  • Reservation allowed to SC/ST farmers is – SC- 7%, ST(P)- 10%, ST(H)- 5 %
