National Old Age Pension Scheme in Andhra Pradesh

The National Old Age Pension scheme is started by Andhra Pradesh government (Finance Ministry) for old age people to help them for reducing the burden of financial expenses. The scheme aims to provide social assistance to the poor people in a household who are above the 65 years of age as old age pension

Benefits of National Old Age Pension Scheme:

  • The National Old Age Pension scheme provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to the poor people in a household. The structure of financial assistance is mentioned below
  • The amount of old age pension will be awarded to a poor beneficiary is Rs. 200/- per month

Required eligibility and conditions for applying National Old Age Pension Scheme:

  1. The applicant must be 65 years of age or higher
  2. The applicant must be an extremely poor in the sense of having little or no regular means of survival from own sources of income or through financial support from family members or other sources
  3. Applicant must be residents of Andhra Pradesh state

Application procedure and documents required for applying National Old Age Pension Scheme:

  1. Birth Certificate for stating the correct age of person
  2. Residence proof e.g. certificate from residence authority
  3. Aadhar card
  4. Bank details, account holder name, account number, IFSC code, MICR code
  5. Voter ID
  6. Age proof
  7. BPL card or Ration card
  8. Passport size photo
  9. Identity proof

Application procedure:

  1. Applicant has to get application form from Mandal Parishad Office or Municipality at free of cost
  2. Fill application form properly and submit the same through Gram Panchayat or Municipality along with documents
