NEST Scholarship Scheme

The Shippensburg University Foundation of India has decided to conduct the Nationwide Education & Scholarship Test for Science Stream Students and from result of this test scholarship to the student is awarded. The purpose of conducting series of such periodical tests is to ignite students’ interest in pursuing accurate knowledge and to prepare them for competitive skills, such as CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL and various other tests for admissions to higher studies in good institutes as well as for jobs in reputed companies. Only bonafide students registered in colleges are eligible for this scholarship. The main purpose of NEST scholarship scheme is to inspire, encourage, help and guide students to perform better in their academics. NEST is especially designed to students’ choice, skills and interests as is essential at this stage of their education. Moreover, they also get instant cash prizes of handsome amount and certificates of appreciation as incentives for their outstanding performance in the test.

Benefits of NEST Scholarship Scheme:

  • NEST Scholarship Scheme provided benefits in the form of financial assistance
  • There are 20 scholarships of Rs 25,000/- each to the top 20 scores
  • Cash Prize of Rs. 50,000/- will be given to the Rank 1 holder in the list
  • Certificates of Appreciation shall be awarded to all candidates who score aggregate of 40% and above of all the four sections put together in the test
  • The topper winning the scholarships shall be felicitated in a gathering presided over by some renowned person/s of knowledge and/or enterprise in the Last week of October in Mumbai

Required eligibility and conditions for applying NEST Scholarship Scheme:

  1. 10th class passed from recognized school or board with good academic records.
  2. Candidates belong to the categories of SC, ST, OBC and Minority are eligible
  3. Applicants parental annual income is Rs. 2 Lakh or below
  4. BC, EBC, Disabled Welfare Students whose parental income is Rs. 1 Lakh or below
  5. Students whose attendance is 75% at the end of each quarter
  6. There are two types of NEST exams and for both the exams eligibility is different
  7. NEST – I: 1st and 2nd Year Degree – Engineering, MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS, 12th (Science), BCA and BSc. (All), Diploma Engineering (Only Final Year)
  8. NEST – II: 3rd and 4th Degree – Engineering, MBBA/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS, BCA and BSc (Only computer and IT)

Document required for applying NEST Scholarship Scheme:

  1. Current Passport size photograph
  2. Aadhaar Card of the Student
  3. Bank Pass Book
  4. Caste certificate
  5. Income certificate

Application Procedure:

  1. At the very first stage applicants have made a Demand Draft of 600/- in favour of SEMCI India payable at Mumbai
  2. After that applicants have to download the application form from website i.e. nest.net.in/application_form.htm
  3. Fill an application form very carefully and affix passport sized photograph on it
  4. Submit the Application form along with Demand Draft of Rs.600/- via post on the address: The Director, NEST, c/o SEMCI INDIA, B-1, Piccadilly Flats, 57-J, Clare Road, Byculla, Mumbai-400 008 (MS)
