PG Scholarship Scheme

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) launched Post Graduate (PG) Scholarship Scheme for the students taking admissions to post graduate programs like M.E./ MTech. /M.Pharm. / M.Arch. The major condition is that the students should have qualified GATE/ GPAT. This scholarship is mainly designed for post graduate students in AICTE approve institutions. Amount of scholarship is Rs. 12,400/- per month per student and is transferred through DBT. This scholarship is available for 24 months or for the course duration last date whichever is earlier. Applications are invited for the academic year 2020-21. Institutions are required to finish the procedure of student data verification on or before December 31, 2020.

Objectives and Benefits:

The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to Post Graduation students
The scheme also aims at boosting technical education in India
Scholarship of Rs. 12,400/- is provided per month to every student under the scheme
It will provide help to the students to meet their expenses for higher studies

This financial assistance will help the students with further studies without having financial constraints

Eligibility:

Student should have a valid GATE/ GPAT score at the time of admission
He/ She must be admitted for a full time post graduate course in AICTE approved institutions
He/ She must be admitted in AICTE approved programs like Master of Engineering/ Master of Technology/ Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy programs.
Student should have a general saving account in the bank, joint accounts are not eligible

Amount and Duration of Scholarship:

The amount of scholarship under the scheme is Rs. 12,400/-
Duration of scholarship is 24 months or duration of the course whichever is less
The duration of scholarship will be as prescribed and would not be extended under any circumstances

How to Apply:

To apply for the scholarship, students are required to visit the AICTE official website @ aicte-india.org

Click on the Scheme tab and select Students Development schemes
Under PG scholarship the student should go through the scheme details and eligibility
Then click on the link for student id verification
Enter state, institute and student id of the current institute and DOB and click on Validate
After successful validation, the application form is displayed. Fill in the further details as required like full name, address details, category details, educational qualification, GATE/ GPAT score, passing year, etc
Submit the application form and upload the self-attested documents as required
After verification of the form and documents, scholarship will be given to the student
The amount of scholarship will be credited to the student’s bank savings account
Scholarship amount, Rs. 12,400 will be provided for 24 months or till the course completion date whichever is less/ earlier
