Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan or Yojana is a new initiative step of our Prime Minister the Narendra Modi Government which aims to provide free health check-up for pregnant women of India. Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan was launched on June 9, 2016. It launched with the objective of boosting and maintaining the health care facilities provided for the pregnant women, especially for the poor women. As per this scheme Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan, the pregnant ladies will be given free health check-up and required treatment for free on 9th of every month. The scheme will be applicable for pregnant women and can be availed from all Government hospitals across the country India without any cost of rupee.

  • The free check-up will take place on 9th of every month
  • All kinds of medical check-ups under this scheme will be completely free
  • Tests will took place at the medical centres, government and private hospitals and private clinics across the country
  • Women will be marked differently based on their health problems so that doctors can easily detect the problem

Required Eligibility and Conditions for Applying Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan:

  1. There is no condition for this scheme except The scheme is applicable only for the pregnant women
  2. The scheme is applicable in all the government hospital
  3. The patient must be in her 3rd and 6th month’s pregnancy period
  4. Patient must be living in rural or semi urban area
  5. People who are economically backword will be eligible for this scheme
  6. The expectant mothers from the countryside will be favoured to get this free health care advantages

Document Required for Applying Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan:

  1. Residence Certificate
  2. BPL Card
  3. Income Certificate
  4. Aadhar Card

Application Procedure:      

  1. Women need to register their name under the scheme at first at the nearest hospitals
  2. There will be medical card issued to each patient
  3. After going through all the check-up the report will be recorded in the curd for further treatment
