PTU Free Ship Scheme

The PTU Free Ship Scheme is launched by Punjab State Government, Punjab Technical University. The scholarship scheme is specially introduced for students who belong to a very economical family, students who have lost his parents or parentless candidate so that the student will able to continue technical higher education. The scheme is open for both education mode regular and distance. The objective of this scheme is to support economically students financially and another way. Those students who are the permanent residence of Punjab can take benefits of this scheme and only Punjab students are eligible. Under this scheme, benefits are provided in terms of some financial assistance and some concession in tuition fees. For getting eligible under this scheme applicant candidate need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned below in the article

Required eligibility and conditions for applying PTU Free Ship Scheme:

  1. Students who are residents of Punjab can apply for this scheme
  2. Students who are Parentless, Fatherless are eligible but income should be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh
  3. Student who belongs economically weaker family are eligible
  4. Students who are pursuing education in regular and distance mode are eligible

Document required for applying PTU Free Ship Scheme:

  1. Photocopy of 10th certificate
  2. Income certificate
  3. Affidavit of income duly attested by MC/Sarpanch
  4. In case of PLS (Parent less students)/FLS (Fatherless students) copy of death certificate
  5. Aadhar card
  6. Identity proof
  7. Bank details e.g. IFSC code, MICR code, branch name, account number
  8. Passport size photograph
  9. AIEEE/MET/PMET/GPAT marksheets

Application procedure:

  1. The process of allocation of free ships will start after the admission of the students to the different institution through counseling. For other courses where counseling is not required it will start after admission
  2. Interested students can apply to the concerned institute of the institute where candidate got an admission
  3. Candidate can collect application form from concern institute itself or can download by clicking this link
