Rajya Sabha Research and Study (RSRS) Scheme

An internship & fellowship scheme for graduates & post-graduates with grant upto Rs. 22.50 lakh & monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000 to create awareness about functioning of parliamentary institutions

Rajya Sabha has announced Rajya Sabha Research and Study Scheme. It is an internship & fellowship program. Students pursuing graduation and post graduation can apply for the scheme.

The scheme has 3 components Dr S Radhakrishnan Chair with a grant of Rs 22.50 lakh, Fellowships with a grant of Rs 8.5 lakh each for 4 fellowships and Rajya Sabha Student Engagement Internships with a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month for 10 student.

Rajya Sabha Research and Study (RSRS) Scheme Components:

  1. Dr Radhakrishnan Chair:
    • Seats: 1
    • Duration: 2 years
    • Grant: Rs. 22.50 lakh
  2. Rajya Sabha Fellowship
    • Seats: 4
    • Duration: 18 months
    • Grant: Rs. 8.5 lakh
  3. Rajya Sabha Student Engagement Internships
    • Seats: 10
    • Duration: 2 months
    • Stipend: Rs. 10,000 per month

Important Dates: Candidates interested in the Dr Radhakrishnan Chair needs to apply by the end of August 2019.

Candidates needs to submit their progress & findings of their research every six months. The Rajya Sabha Research and Study Scheme is launched based on the discussions from the members of the parliament, secretaries along with academic researchers.

STEP 2: Read the application details completely, fill in the application form, paste photograph, attach required documents
STEP 3: Send the application form along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the official website
