Shri Arun Jaitley Financial Assistance for Group C employees’ scheme has been approved and started by Rajya Sabha Secretariat on July 14, 2020. This scheme provides the children of Group C employee with 3 scholarships for higher and professional education. Also, the employees will get financial assistance in case of death and medical emergency.

Objectives and Benefits:
- The main objective of the scheme is to provide assistance to the Group C employees
- Scholarships received by the children of those employees will be for higher, technical and professional education
- This scheme is mainly focused towards the welfare of the said segment of employees and their children.
Key Points:
- This scheme has been formulated as per the decision of Mrs. Sangeeta Jaitley- wife of late Mr. Arun Jaitley, leader of the House in Rajya Sabha and our Ex Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs.
- The family receives Rs. 3 lakhs as annual pension
- After the demise of Mr. Arun Jaitley, last year in August, Mrs. Sangeeta wrote a letter to Chairman of Rajya Sabha – Mr. M Venkaiah Naidu for giving the entire pension amount for the welfare and benefit of Group C employees
- Later Mr. Naidu along with the Secretariat, got it framed as a scheme for welfare
- The entire amount of pension since the demise, has already been given to the Secretariat by Mrs. Sangeeta
- The scheme is made operational from this current financial year.
- This scheme denotes a best way to honour and remember the Ideals and Principles of late Mr. Arun Jaitley.
