Soil Health Card Scheme launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India and implemented by Government of Maharashtra under National Sustainable Agriculture Mission. The main objective of this scheme is to assist farmer to increase the productivity of crops. Under this scheme the government to issue soil health cards to farmers which will carry crop-wise recommendations of nutrients and fertilizers required for the individual farms to help farmers to improve productivity, experts will analyze the strength and weaknesses of the soil and suggest measures to deal with it, the farmers will be guided by experts to come up with solutions to improve the quality of the soil. Benefits of Soil Health Card Scheme:

  • Under this scheme after the inspection of soil samples, the Soil Health Card is given to farmer
  • Under this scheme, soil testing and soil analysis will be done
  • Scheme also provides advisory on soil test based use of fertilizers
