State Scholarship Scheme for Post SSC Students launched by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Gujarat. A scheme introduced with an aim to provide financial assistance to students belongs to poor families. As we know the importance of education, so no student should be deprived of education just because of poor economic condition or lack of money. To foster need of such students, Gujarat government started this initiative which is helping many poor students to complete their further studies. Under this scheme, students passed SSC are given monthly financial assistance to pursue their further studies along with book bank All students of a resident of Gujarat can avail benefits under this scheme. To know more about the scheme and obtain application form students can visit nearest scheduled caste welfare office or social welfare office

Benefits of State Scholarship Scheme for Post SSC Students:

• State Scholarship Scheme for Post SSC Students provides benefits in the form of financial assistance and other. Benefits are mentioned below in details
• Degree and Post-graduation courses – Medical, Engineering etc.: For Hosteller Rs. 1200 and for Day-scholar Rs. 550
• Diploma course, certificate courses and degree and post-graduation course like M.Phil., Ph.D. CA, ICWA, C.S. etc. which are not including in Group-1: For Hosteller Rs. 820 and for Day-scholar Rs. 530
• All Graduation and Post-Graduation courses not included in Group-1 & 2: For Hosteller Rs. 570 and for Day-scholar Rs. 300
• All post-SSC course, Std. XI and 12, ITI vocational course: For Hosteller Rs. 380 and for Day-scholar Rs. 230
• Under this scheme, students are provided other benefits too
• Books are provided to the students of medical, engineering, veterinary, agriculture, Polytechnic, bio-science and LLB/LLM/MCA/MBA

Required eligibility and conditions applying for State Scholarship Scheme for Post SSC Students:

1. Students resident of Gujarat are eligible
2. Students belong to poor economic background
3. Students passed SSC or 10^th exam and pursuing one of the courses mentioned above in benefits
4. Boys and girls both are eligible
5. Annual income should be less than Rs. 2 lakhs

Required documents for State Scholarship Scheme for Post SSC Students:

1. Identity proof: Aadhar card, Voter ID, College ID etc.
2. Residence proof: Residence certificate etc.
3. Income proof less than Rs. 2 lakhs
4. Aadhar card
5. Passport size photograph
6. Academic certificates
7. SSC mark sheet
8. Bank details e.g. Account number, IFSC, MICR code
9. Bank passbook copy
10. Caste certificate
11. Admission proof of post SSC course
12. Bonafide certificate of current course
13. Note: Other documents may be required

1. The applicant can apply at scheduled caste welfare office Gujarat, Gandhinagar. The applicant can collect application from the same office. OR please visit social justice and empowerment office
