Stipend Scheme in Bihar

The Stipend Scheme in Bihar is launched by Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment and Implemented by Bihar state government. The scheme is specially launched for students who belong to the economically weaker family and SC or ST or OBC. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor students so that they would be able to pursue or continue their education, under this scheme selected students are provided the stipend money per month. For getting eligible under this scheme applicant candidate need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned below in the article. Students of Bihar can take huge advantage of this scheme. This scheme provides stipend for Post Matric, High School stipend, Middle School stipend etc. the students should contact the authorities after one month from the date of submission of application and get the stipend money

Benefits of Stipend Scheme in Bihar:

  • Stipend Scheme in Bihar provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to the students who are studying between classes 1st to 10th, technical courses Mushahar stipend, Hosteller, Stipend towards of the people engaged in the unclean occupation. Rates of stipend are mentioned below
  • Post Matric: As per the GOI rates which ranges between Rs. 90 to Rs. 425 for different courses
  • High School stipend (Class 7 to 10): Rs. 55 per month
  • Middle School stipend Class 5 to 6): Rs. 30 per month
  • Primary School stipend (Class 1 to 4): Rs. 15 per month
  • Mushahar stipend: Rs. 30 per month
  • Hostellers: Rs. 80 per month
  • The stipend for Technical courses: Rs. 150 per month
  • Stipend towards of the people engaged in unclean occupation: As per Govt. of India rates

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Stipend Scheme in Bihar:

  1. Students who belong to SC, ST and OBC are eligible to get benefits under this scheme
  2. Students who are permanent residents of Bihar are eligible
  3. Students who belong to economically weaker family are eligible

Document required for applying Stipend Scheme in Bihar:

  1. Caste certificate
  2. Income certificate
  3. Aadhar card
  4. Bank details e.g. Account number, account holder name. IFSC code, MICR code
  5. Identity proof
  6. Permanent residence proof
  7. Academics marksheets and certificates
  8. School bonafide certificate
  9. Non-creamy layer certificate only for those who belong

Application procedure:

  1. Applicant candidate can collect application form by visiting nearer Welfare Departments, that is, BWO, SWO, and DWO
  2. The applicant should submit application along with required documents to the head of the institution/school
