Subedar Ramji Ambedkar Scheme in Hindi
Subedar Ramji Ambedkar Scheme of Grant in Aid for Hostels in Gujarat launched by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Gujarat. This scheme provides assistance to the voluntary organizations who run the hostels in Gujarat. Under this scheme, various types of assistance are given like e.g. maintenance allowance, house rent, library expenses, annual expenditure, pay for watchman and staff. At present, there are 425 boys and 167 girl hostels, in all, 592 hotels are running and 13152 boys and 5722 girls accommodated to such hostels. - Rs. 2500 for watchman as a salary and Rs. 3000 to cook as a salary, Rs. 3000 to Assistant cook as a salary

- The organization which runs three or more such hostels are being paid 5% administrative grant on the expenditure incurred on approved items
