Supportive Price & Productivity Linked Incentive Scheme

Supportive Price & Productivity Linked Incentive Scheme is the scheme by Goa government for the betterment of farmers of Goa who faced heavy loss due to natural calamities. The scheme provides financial assistance of certain amount so that the farmer can again start the cultivation and generate source of income. The scheme provides finances for the Paddy, Sugarcane, Arecanut, Coconut, Oil Palm and Cashewnut. Recently Goa faced many natural calamities like flood/fire which destroyed the fields and cultivation which destroyed farmers and left them full of debts and helpless. To help them and make them strong to enough so that their life gets back on track Goa government launched the scheme. The scheme was started in the 2012 by Agricultural Development which is actually performing well and up till now many farmers got the benefit of the scheme, beneficiaries overcame the loss and are living life with little less efforts

Benefits of Supportive Price & Productive Linked Incentive Scheme:

  • Assistance for Paddy: Assistance of Rs. 7000 for each metric ton sold to the designated co-operative societies
  • Assistance for Sugarcane: 200 for each metric ton of sugarcane production and Rs. 100 for each metric ton harvesting assistance
  • Assistance for Arecanut: Government provides the price which is more than what dealers are giving but less than what it is in the market. For arecanut which are categorized will give farmer Rs. 20 per kg and other suparis will bring Rs. 10 per kg value to the farmer
  • Assistance for Coconut: 5 per coconut assistance minimum 100 coconuts and maximum 50, 000 coconuts
  • Assistance for Oil Palm: Assistance to the farmer for oil palm which will be less than Rs. 5, 000 but more than what farmers usually get
  • Assistance for Cashewnut: For cashewnut minimum assistance is Rs. 10 per kg and maximum Rs. 50 per kg

Eligibility for Goa Mediclaim Scheme:

  1. Must be the resident of Goa state for last 15 years
  2. All farmers affected by natural calamities are eligible

Documents Required:

  1. Residential Proof (electricity bill, water connection bill, gas connection bill, ration card, voter id, Aadhar card, pan card or driving license)
  2. Aadhar Card
  3. Passport size photographs (2 copies)
  4. Bank passbook having (bank name, bank branch name, account holder name, IFSC & MICR code)
  5. Agriculture land ownership proof (documents: sale deed, 7/12)

Application form:

To apply for the scheme beneficiary need to apply to the zonal offices of respective talukas. Further all procedures are carried out at those offices only including application forms and processing
