Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students in Maharashtra

Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students scheme is introduced by State Government of Maharashtra. This scheme implemented by Social justice and special assistance department in Maharashtra for OBC (other backward class) students. Under the scheme, the students belonging to OBC are being reimbursed for the payment of Tuition Fees, Admission Fees, Term Fees, Library Fees, Laboratory Fees, Gymkhana Fees, and Examination Fees at Post Matriculation education in recognized educational institutions in Maharashtra. In this particular scheme, Student with one academic failure which is not covered under Government of India Scholarship is also eligible for such reimbursement in this scheme. Reimbursement is given to the students, whose parents income is between 1.00 lakh to 4.50 Lakhs yearly. All types of compulsory fees such as Tuition fees, Exam Fees & other fees are reimbursed to the concern college/institution. Only 50% Education fees are allowed to professional courses. The main objectives of this scheme are to empowering OBC community students. The application procedure for this scheme is online and student should fill the details and submit it to the concerned Colleges

Eligibility for Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students:

  1. Student should belong to OBC category
  2. Reimbursement will be sanctioned to the students, whose parents income is between 1.00 lakh to 4.50 Lakhs
  3. Candidate must be a permanent residence of Maharashtra state

Documents required:

  1. Passport size photo
  2. Aadhaar Card
  3. Caste certificate
  4. Maharashtra domicile certificate of candidate
  5. Income Certificate
  6. Previous year Mark sheet

Application procedure: 

  1. Visit the scholarship official website: https://mahaeschol.maharashtra.gov.in/MahaEschol/Scholarships/Account/Login.aspx#1
  2. Fill the Free ship application form, upload documents and submit it to concerned college
  3. Concerned college will forward this application to Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare concerned District
  4. The online application is to be filled for the first year of that course only. From next year to completion, of course, application is renewed by concerned college and forwarded to concerned Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare concerned District
