The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced final results for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2018. Kanishak Kataria a B. Tech. from IIT Bombay has topped the exams. Srushti Jayant Deshmukh is the topper amongst women. The results are announced on the official Union Public Service Commission website www.upsc.gov.in
The UPSC has recommended total of 759 candidates for commission for appointments to various services such as IAS, IRS, IPS, IFS etc. Out of 759 candidates 577 are men & 182 women.

Written examinations were conducted by the UPSC in September-October 2018 & interview for the personality tests were conducted in February-March 2019. Based on the merits candidates are recommended for the following services:
- Indian Administrative Service;
- Indian Foreign Service;
- Indian Police Service; and
- Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’
